Half a century of fabric, built one collection — and one relationship — at a time.
1975 — Three brothers open a small shop in Sultanhamam, Istanbul, continuing the drapery trade of their father. Fabric is the family language, and the counter quickly becomes known for its choice and its eye.
The decades that follow — As Istanbul grows, so does Persan. The house moves from selling fabric to creating it: developing its own designs, building relationships with weavers and printers, and supplying decorators and projects with collections of its own.
2012 — Persan launches Tarabya, a line devoted to classic luxury. Over the years the house adds further brands — Dokumacı, refined, original and pure; Diva; and Piculet, younger and more decorative — so that every style and budget finds its fabric.
Today — Persan combines its own brands with the representation of celebrated international houses such as Romo, JAB Anstoetz, Chivasso and Carlucci, offering one of the most complete fabric libraries in the country from its Istanbul center.
